Horse Camp will continue at the Brighton Riding Stable for 2025. The Riding stable on Chilson Road will continue host both trail rides and camp throughout the summer. Campers will recognize all their same favorite horses and counselors, which are all now in one place again. There may be some additional new horses and ponies! And if you want to bring your family back for a trail ride over the summer, you can also set up a ride at the Brighton Riding Stable on Chilson Rd.

Best Summer Camp for Horseback Riding Near Ann Arbor

Ages 8-14

All camps are western style riding. Summer camps include trail riding, arena lessons and games on horseback.  Of course we’ll still be doing the grooming and tacking as well and learning all about horses! Each morning starts with a safety talk and demonstration, then campers will groom their horse, and with the assistance of our counselors will saddle their horse. The arena lesson is geared to the level of each rider. Horses and ponies are matched to the riders level of ability. Some campers are beginners and some who have been coming for years are more advanced. The trail riding is through the scenic woodlands at the riding stable with miles of trails to choose from each day!

Campers MUST be 8 or older for Trailblazers camp

Camp hours: 9am-2pm.

Cost is $450

Ages 6-8

For younger campers and beginning riders. Campers are introduced to ponies and horses and taught the basics of horse safety, grooming and saddling their horse. Each day campers will be given a short arena lesson and will also go out on a trail ride. The trail meanders through the woods and across creeks. All riders 7 and under will have their horse hand-led by one of our counselors. Campers 8 and older may control their own horse on the trail if they have the confidence to do so. Other activities during the week will include crafts, games, scavenger hunts, and even water balloon tosses on hot days. 

Limit of 10 riders per camp

Camp hours:  9am-2pm.

Monday through Thursday or Friday 9 AM to 2 PM.
